Kitchari

Kitchari

Description

A warm, comforting Ayurvedic dish made from mung dal, basmati rice, seasonal vegetables, and healing spices. It's a gentle, one-pot meal that's grounding, nourishing, and easy on digestion.

Why is it good for you?

Kitchari is a classic postpartum recovery food. The combination of mung dal and rice provides a complete protein, while the spices (like cumin, ginger, and turmeric) help stimulate digestion, reduce inflammation, and support healing. It’s ideal when your digestion is delicate and your body needs rebuilding.
